Our Big Announcement
To our loyal customers, cheese lovers and meat heads:
A few months ago, as Lisa and I were in the early stages of creating a wholesale sausage, house-made cured meats and charcuterie plan, we realized we had outgrown our little corner of the Route 9 compound. We have built an incredible business in this building under the ownership of the Giordano family and were saddened by the thought we might have to consider a new location for the next phase of our business.
We took our concerns to Vera, Joanne and Dominic, to see if there was something we could do; a building addition, an annex maybe(?) - to keep us here and working with our incredible neighbors. As has been the case since day one, the Giordano family immediately began thinking of creative solutions to our dilemma.
What they offered far exceed ANYTHING we expected from our little meeting.
Dominic called us in to hear their proposal. He stood in the center of Vera’s market, and said “you’re not going anywhere, we will make this work”. What came next was a plan that kept us, The Pantry and Vera’s operating under the same roof while giving us the space we need to grow.
Needless to say we accepted the proposal and are BEYOND excited to announce that in the coming months we will be moving our meat shop into a new space created by the Giordano family, just for us!
We will continue to serve the community as we have been and will be able to expand our retail and wholesale programs. The Pantry team will gain back some much-needed space to keep cranking out their incredible bottled and canned beverages to the region and, most importantly, Vera’s will keep doing what they do best, providing the community with the best donuts, produce, mozzarella, Italian specialty items, plants, Christmas trees...you get it.
Bottom line: no one is going anywhere, and we are ALL going to benefit from this incredible plan.
We are so grateful to the Giordano family for thinking outside of the box, helping us grow and being the most patient and kind landlords a couple of meat and cheese-loving kids could ever ask for.
Spread the word!
We can’t wait to show you what we’ve been up to!
